Hi, guys,
I am a 45 year old guy from Berlin and have liked Nancy for almost 30 years now. In the early 70's I got her Greatest Hits album and loved the songs on it immediately. For me she was and still is an icon of the 60's. A bit later I got the re-issue of Nancy & Lee, which I loved just the same and still do.
Throughout the years other Nancy albums and 7" singles followed (found them at record fares). Certainly I was very happy to get many of her albums and compilations on CD later then, and to find some hidden gems on those CD's, too.
Speaking of hidden gems, I think the album 'Nancy & Lee Again' (aka 'Did You Ever') is one of those hidden gems in her and Lee's catalogue. As for me, I think you can find some of Lee's strongest songs on this album which has been underrated for ages, to be honest. I can only hope they will release the entire album on CD one day. This album is one of the treasures in my record collection. And yes, I am also very much into the 'Boots' album, as are so many other Nancy fans.
Besides Nancy, I am also a big fan of Lee's work, and I have been an admirer and fan of Barbra Streisand since the early 70's, too. Music-wise I do like a lot of different styles and singers, but Streisand and Nancy are among the ones on top of my list.
Would very much like to hear from other Nancy fans and exchange ideas and thoughts about her work.
And thanks for the Nancy Sintra UK Fan Page, I think it is one of the best and Lea believe me when I say, you are doing a terrrrrrific job here!!
Cheers,
Karl
