Secret Dreams And Forbidden Fire (1986)1. Ravishing 2. If You Were A Woman (And I Was A Man) 3. Loving You's A Dirty Job (But Somebody's Gotta Do It) [feat Todd Rundgren] 4. No Way To Treat A Lady 5. Band Of Gold 6. Rebel Without A Clue 7. Lovers Again 8. Before This Night Is Through 9. Holding Out For A Hero I'm gonna stick with the 80's! Really love Bonnie Tyler (though her 90's albums feels a bit cheap), and this 1986 follow-up to her extremely succeeded 'Faster Than The Speed Of Night' (1983) - that contained the unforgettable powerballad 'Total Eclipse Of The Heart' which at its peak sold 60,000 copies per day, and approximately 5-6 million copies in total - really has it all; impressive choires, mighty drums and those wonderful 80's beats! Jim Steinman is my all time favourite producer, and he and Bonnie really must love one another, because when they hit it off they alway get to the top. He also produced 'Faster Than The Speed Of Night'. I think this is her best album, though it wasn't as big as a hit as 'Faster Than The Speed Of Night'. Thanks to that awful movie 'Footloose', starring Kevin Bacon, her song 'Holding Out For A Hero' hit #2 at the UK charts and became one of those good ol' classic 1980's songs. The video is really great. Todd Rundgren is also involved, as backup singer and duet partner.
